Barnes Community House

Group of six diverse young people sitting on front steps of a house, smiling, with plants on either side, a wreath on the door behind them, and a red-brick house in the background. They are a part of a progressive intentional community.

Located on Edgehill UMC’s campus, Barnes House is a community housing opportunity offered by the church. Named in honor of our founding pastor, Rev. Bill Barnes, the house continues his legacy of faith in action—centered on love, justice, and inclusion.

This intentional living space is for individuals—particularly young adults—who are exploring ministry, serving in vocations shaped by their faith in action, or seeking to grow as disciples within a supportive, inclusive Christian community and who need an affordable place to live. Residents commit to shared life, mutual support, and meaningful connection to the ministry and mission of Edgehill UMC.

If you’re looking for a place to live with purpose and community, we’d love to hear from you. For more information about Barnes House, including rent and expectations, contact us.
